Bathroom Stellar Makeover. One Room Challenge Spring 2021-Week 1
Hi there!
It’s been a while since my last blog post, so might as well come back with an ORC BANG.
I am so excited to participate in this ORC Spring Challenge! If you don’t know already, this is the third time I will be participating as a guest. During the next 8 weeks, I will be transforming one of the most used rooms in my house and share all the ups and downs that come with it. This challenge is designed to keep everyone who’s participating motivated and inspired through the process of designing, it’s pretty magical, to be honest. I had so much fun in the past transforming my walk-in closet and master bedroom, that I couldn’t resist this year.
2020 definitely took a toll on me (like it did on the whole world). My business was affected as well as my mental health. However, the slow pace gave me the chance to finally take the time to determine which rooms needed improvement the most in my own home.
For this challenge, I chose the guest bathroom. I have slowly transformed most of the first floor in my house except the bathroom, and I truly dislike it. We have not touched it at all since we bought the house 5 years ago. It’s a dark room that does not blend with the style of our home, it is a great canvas to start a new project because it doesn’t even have a picture hung on the wall (never felt inspired to do anything here).
I have an idea of what I want to do with the room which is why I created this mood board to guide me through it. I have a color scheme in mind and I want to do a geometric pattern on the wall inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s window mosaic. If you don’t know, I have a thing for geometry, symmetry, and FLW. I also want to make a bright and clean room. During this week I will be working on making this mood board work with a budget to determine the products I will be needing.
I hope you tune in next week to see what I come up with and please leave your thoughts in the comment section below. You can also follow me on Instagram to keep up with my process @stellar.design.interiors.

Be stellar,
